Flat Herman arrived in time to enjoy our Thanksgiving fellowship meal with us the Sunday before Thanksgiving. He is visiting with Erlene Schlegel and Sue Burk-Williams. While visiting with us, he helped dry dishes, and jumped into the decorations with the Pilgrims and the pumpkin “turkey.”

Welcome back from sabbatical, Herm! We missed you!

Here are some pictures taken during Flat Herman’s visit to Carlsbad.
He was here for our first real Christmas snow in years.
He helped with the change to more efficient lighting in the church building.
He was here for the Christmas program on Thursday but wouldn’t stay off the platform. Then he wanted something in the food line afterward. He even attended the women’s tea but wouldn’t stay out of the manger and almost made the baby cry.

He was a pain sometimes but we enjoyed his visit.
